'Data Offload' panel session
During the main LTE Focus con
ference Dr Pulley participated in a panel session 'Data Offload', alongside representatives from Agilent Techologies, Alcatel-Lucent and Motorola Networks.
With the demand for mobile data services increasing exponentially, driven primarily by uptake of smartphones, offload is one of the most pressing issues faced by operators today. Dr Pulley was on hand to explain how femtocells solve these problems, by increasing the capacity of the radio network and shifting traffic from the operator's core infrastructure to the public internet.
